Sarath Kumar contributed 25 runs from 21 balls, including three boundaries, to form a crucial 61-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Adithya Ganesha (44 of 30). Finally, Suboth Bhati‘s (31 of 13) quickfire cameo further boosted Dindigul’s score to 170/9.

In the gripping pursuit of a challenging target, CSG showed commendable resilience, especially through a formidable 72-run partnership for the third wicket between Baba Aparajith and skipper Narayan Jagadeesan. Aparajith demonstrated his hitting skills with a brilliant strike of 74 runs off just 40 pitches, while Jagadeesan made a valuable contribution of 37 runs off 36 balls.

However, the game took a dramatic turn once the partnership broke, causing CSG to lose momentum. Despite their best efforts, they fell painfully short of victory, finishing 169/9 in their chase, just one run from the Dragons target.

The climax of the match was filled with blood-curdling tension as Chepauk needed 12 runs from the final to secure a win. Unfortunately, they could only score 10 runs, losing three crucial wickets.

Aparajith’s impressive knock on Chepauk failed to bring them home. for dragons, Varun Chakravarthy took three wickets, and Saravana Kumar plucked two scalps.

Notably, this thrilling encounter marked the first time a team won by a solitary run in TNPL history, adding to the competition’s excitement and drama.
